تتناول هذه الدراسة بالشرح والتحليل مفهوم العدالة عند «جيرالد أ. كوهين» (1941-2009)، وهو واحد من أبرز فلاسفة السياسة المعاصرين الذين تناولوا مشكلة العدالة والكشف عن المبادئ والأسس التي ترتكز عليها. ويتم ذلك من خلال خمسة محاور: في الأول نكشف عن معنى العدالة وأساسها الفلسفي، وفي الثاني نعرض لمعيار العدالة ومتطلباتها، وحدود علاقتها بالمساواة، وفي الثالث نتناول مفهوم الحرية الفردية وطبيعة الحقوق الاجتماعية وصلتها بالعدالة، وفي الرابع نستشرف مستقبل الاشتراكية والعقبات التي تواجهها، وأخيرًا يأتي المحور الخامس ليناقش مشروع كوهين الفكري في محاولة لتقييم مجمل آراءه في الفلسفة السياسية.

Abstract: This study deals analytically with the concept of justice according to Gerald A. Cohen (1941-2009). Cohen is one of the most prominent contemporary political philosophers who concerned with the problem of justice to reveal the principles and foundations on which it based. This is done through five sections: in the first section, we reveal the meaning of justice and its philosophical basis. In the second section, we present the norm of justice and its requirements, and the limits of its relationship to equality. In the third section, we discuss the concept of individual liberty, the nature of social rights and its relationship to justice. In the fourth section, we examine the future of Socialism and the obstacles it faces. Finally, in the fifth section, we discuss Cohen's intellectual project, as we can evaluate his overall views on political philosophy.
